Doeguling Youth Sports Association (DYSA) Mundgod lifted the Gyelyum Chenmo Memorial Gold Cup (GCMGC) 2026 beating Lhasa FC at Kollegal Tibetan settlement in South India.
This is their third GCMGC victory in a row, with previous wins in 2024 and 2025. They are the first team in GCMGC history to achieve this remarkable feat.
The champions from Mundgod have clinched the GCM cup seven times so far. They showed their dominance and expertise in ball control by first winning the championship in 2009 followed by 2015, 2018, 2019, 2024, 2025, and now 2026.
The GCM tournament is the oldest and the most-popular sporting event in the Tibetan diaspora that started in 1981 in the memory of Late Gyalyum Chenmo, the mother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
