Santa Fe-based filmmaker Lobsang Tenzin won the Best Actor for “The Lower Rooms” at Oregon Independent Film Festival 2016.

After the award presentation on Sept 24, sharing the above photo on his Facebook, he wrote, “Thank you Oregon Independent Film Festival for recognizing Tibetan actor. Proud to receive a best actor award for feature film ” The Lower Rooms” Thank you Portland and love you all.” 

Making his acting debut, Loten plays a Tibetan survivor of political torture in this film directed by Barry Hunt and Nathan Wilson.
