Cheveyo Tsawa: The First-Ever Tibetan to Play in the UEFA Champions League ?

 

Belgium’s Club Brugge has signed Cheveyo Tsawa from FC Zurich on a 4-year contract. The transfer fee was reported to be €6 million, according to FootballTransfers.com.

Club Brugge is one of the biggest football clubs in Belgium and has won the Belgian league 20 times. The team has also qualified for this season’s UEFA Champions League.

Cheveyo, 19, is excited about the move. “It was always a childhood dream to play in Champions League. And I can’t wait to play my first game in Champions League, ” he told Club Brugge YouTube Channel.

Cheveyo is of Tibetan heritage. His father, Dorje Tsawa, is also a football professional.

Fans will be watching to see how the young player performs in the Champions League this season. He could even play against young stars like Lamine Yamal.
