VOT interviews first Tibetan Trans Woman Mariko (Video)

Mariko, 17, has been a subject of interest in the Tibetan world ever since she came out openly as Trans Woman last year. Known as the first Tibetan Trans Woman, she was born male but identifies herself as a woman in a man’s body.

In this recent interview by Voice of Tibet, Dharamsala-based Mariko, tells her story which is considered daring and unconventional in the Tibetan world.
