In this Panel Discussion by Tibetonline.tv, Chime Tseyang of Department of Education, and Tsewang Rigzin, President of TSP Alumni Association introduce and discuss this annual Tibetan Scholarship Program provided by US government.
Under the program, every year a group of Tibetan students leaves for US to pursue higher studies, which is otherwise not possible and affordable for many Tibetans in exile.
Started in 1988, the list of alumni of this prestigious scholarship includes Sikyong Lobsang Sangay and many others prominent figures in the Central Tibetan Administration and NGOs.
